Reverse osmosis water filters
Reverse osmosis is a technology used by bottled water and food manufacturers around the world. Household reverse osmosis filters (membrane filters for water purification) make tap water of any quality safe at home.
By installing a reverse osmosis water purification system under the sink in your kitchen, you can save on buying bottled water. The cost of water at home is less than 0.06 euros per liter in the first year after purchasing the filter and 0.03 euros per liter thereafter (the calculation is made for a family of 3).
Despite the impurities that are present in the water, the reverse osmosis filter makes the water safe. It even removes pesticides, nitrates, hormones, antibiotics, bacteria and viruses. Hospitals and dialysis stations use reverse osmosis systems to remove even the most difficult-to-remove impurities from water (traces of them can harm health). Due to its high safety, water purified by reverse osmosis filters is best suited for preparing baby food.
Scale
The reverse osmosis membrane does not allow hardness salts (calcium and magnesium) to pass through, when hard water is heated, scale forms and the equipment is damaged. Therefore, reverse osmosis is the most effective means of purifying hard water. Let's compare: in water sorption filters, softening cartridges (KH, PRO-H) need to be changed every 1-2 months, and in reverse osmosis systems, scale does not appear during the entire service life of the membrane (1.5-2 years).
